Hello,

As another month opens and unveils the splendors of springtime here in the northern hemisphere (autumn in the southern hemisphere), I greet all of you at a time that is also full of complexities. In talking with Master about a teaching for this month He noted that, given the sudden shifts in the financial and economic sectors, many of us are wondering, perhaps even worrying, about the fate of our global future. With the new U.S. administration spewing harsh rhetoric with racist overtones, as well as apparently stimulating intentional polarization toward the global community, it is only natural for us to wonder where the planetary neighborhood is headed, and how its direction will affect each of us personally. While none of us can single-handedly cure the spreading malaise, still, it is important to become more identified with the solution, rather than the problem. Maybe a new season will offer some much-needed inspiration for reclaiming gentler times.
 
When we spoke about all this, Master said that many of you (and likely others) have been inwardly wondering what events are fated to happen and whether there might be alternate routes for humanity to choose. He noted that this will be a year of profound changes occurring, and at many levels. However, He has not outlined just what those changes will be, nor how they will play out practically. Master says that in times such as these, we simply cannot rely upon external political or social structures as sources for personal security. Rather, through spiritual practice, careful observation of our mental activity, and learning to check our reactionary points, we can maintain sane minds and discover a much deeper source of security than any external artifact can provide. Master noted that while we may be fated to experience difficult moments ahead, these do not seal our destiny—either individually or collectively.
 
Thus, for this month, Master decided to do a short teaching on the topics of fate and destiny, and He does so in a manner that also offers some much-needed inspiration. He has entitled this little lecture “Facing Fate, Creating Destiny,” and I hope you will all savor it as much as I do. May our spiritual community be strengthened and unified in this time of uncertainty and may each of you be greatly blessed for all your efforts to generate a calmer, saner, and more wholesome world!
