The astrological configuration to which you are referring will occur November 8 and 9, 2003, with some influence being felt November 7 through 10, as well. This is a balancing square to events and situations that have been happening since mid-June, 2003. As you can probably see, these events, like people, move through cycles that have peaks and valleys, ups and down, creative high and low points. The short and simple answer here is that the events that have been taking place during this timeframe are coming to a cyclic end. You could say, this event is likely to "bring to a head" matters yet to be resolved or things that seem to be just hanging these past months. This is a good time to get things that you have been coaxing along on the back burner of your mind up and into awareness for completion or more fully addressing.

You could say that this time offers a cosmic push to clean out the junky closets in your life, or the baggage you have stuffed away and not wanted to just be done with altogether. Many of you have asked what is actually happening in the sky, since you have heard many things (like God is reaching out to humanity, etc.) but have seldom heard any basis for such statements. Some are projecting that the entire planet is going to go through a radical change, but those of you who are familiar with the way things happen on Earth perhaps recognize this is seldom how such things actually play out.

For the more technically minded, Mars is currently sitting in Pisces, or so it appears from Earth, and it opposes Jupiter in Virgo, square Pluto in Sagittarius. Astrologers call that a T-Square. But there just so happens to be two of them appearing at the same time. The other involves Uranus in , square the North Node in Taurus and the South Node in Scorpio. If you are able to observe this from an astrologer's point of view, you would see a star configuration. Squares are interpreted as indications of transitions and changes, but it is more likely that this time will provide the opportunity for profound or deep changes at a personal level rather than at a global level.

The interesting thing to note here is the power of projection. Nearly every time there is an astrological convergence of one type or another, individuals come to me after the time has elapsed and say they didn't feel anything happen to themselves, and they are often saddened to see that the whole world didn't change in that particular moment in time. Indeed, many of you will feel a little nudge to deal with things you may have been avoiding, but astrological influences are just that--influences. You will all probably observe people who feel and experience nothing; you will probably also observe people who feel their entire life has been shifted somehow. Unfortunately for those who hope for miraculous intervention, it will probably not look that way.

The important thing is how you look at this. As I mentioned, there are clear influences for change and transitions. Some will, in their own inimitable way, try to resist or fight these influences. Others will open themselves not only to receive something energetically from this moment, but to do the work of bringing the energetic influence to fruition. Isn't this the most important thing? To acknowledge one's relationship with the Universe is really important in terms of 1) seeing what is, and 2) stepping out of perceived limitations. How kind of the Universe to provide each of you with this little nudge in that direction!

Know that there is likely to be a fair amount of hype about any unusual astrological occurrence. Why? Well, likely there are many people (yourself, perhaps?) who desire to see a much different world that appears to be in place. You could say, many people are desirous of seeing and experiencing the Pure Land. To this extent, every time an unusual astrological event occurs, they are looking for help from the Universe toward this end. Of course, there is absolutely nothing wrong with such. It is, in fact, this looking that finally enables one to actually see it. I think all would agree that projecting global transformation in a healing/wholing way is preferable to predicting world disaster. If enough people can sense it, this is an auspicious time; auspicious events will arise. However, I do think it a good idea to avoid placing too much dogma around such events. This can cause suffering by leading people to expect something that might not occur for them. Better to simply make yourself available to promptings from the Universe, and observe the transformation process as it moves through you. Use the power of the collective projections, however, to enhance your own growth of wonder and delight at the movements of the Universe.

Indeed, some of you are likely to experience more transitional shifts than others. This is neither good nor bad, and it really does not say that anyone is more or less spiritual than any other. The most important thing is, of course, to pay attention. Observe both yourself and the world around you. Help people awaken to the wonderful influences of celestial bodies, but please do not predispose them to experience anything in the same way that you may (or do). Let yourself be awed by the limitless possibilities which abound for experiencing within this Universe. Hold gratitude that you are able to witness such marvels, and try, as much as you can, to feel yourself a part of it all. Rather than seeing that this is something the Universe is doing to/for you, try to experience yourself as the Universe at play, seeing how many ways you can move your "particles" around within your own creative magnificence. Then, use these special days to fill yourself with love and a desire to see clearly what is arising within your own process. Go forth in a space of wonder that 1) these movements happen, and 2) they can be observed and consciously experienced. Let these two (or four) days be days in which you cherish your opportunities to bless all with whom you come in contact.
